Castro Statement on Federal Judges Blocking Texas’ Redistricting Map

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20) released the following statement:

“Today is a good day for democracy in Texas!

“The courts blocked Governor Abbott and Trump’s illegal power grab. Their racist re-districting attempt would undermine the voting power of Latino and Black communities. They failed. This is the right decision.”
