Castro Calls for Barr Resignation

WASHINGTON—Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20), Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Vice Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and a member of the House Intelligence and Education and Labor Committees, released the following statement today calling for Attorney General Barr’s resignation: 

“Attorney General Barr should resign. His testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmed his dishonest characterization of the Mueller report. He has repeatedly lied to both the House and the Senate and deliberately misled the American public. His stark refusal to appear before the House Judiciary Committee underscores the challenge we confront – how to hold a President accountable in the face of Administration officials determined to aid his cover up. Bill Barr must go.”
