Rep. Castro Speaks Out Against Ice Detention Warehouse On San Antonio’s East Side

ICE awarded a more than $17 million contract to the company behind Alligator Alcatraz to run a converted warehouse on San Antonio's East Side. This kind of facility goes against San Antonio's values, and it would hold back an area that's already fighting for growth. I am working with the San Antonio community and elected leaders as well as my colleagues in Congress to prevent these inhumane facilities from ever opening their doors.
