Ma Hila’s Heart provides critical support to families battling childhood cancer, offering financial assistance, mental health resources, and respite care, among other services.

“Ma Hila’s Heart is a lifeline for young cancer patients and their families in South Texas,” said Congressman Joaquin Castro. “As the Trump administration pushes for major cuts to Medicaid and cancer research funding, it’s important to consider what our country stands to lose – including better prevention and detection, innovative treatments and cures, and hope for a cancer-free future. My own battle with neuroendocrine cancer has taught me about the importance of a strong support network for families facing a cancer diagnosis, and I’m honored to welcome Jason Massiatte to Washington as my guest for the president’s Joint Address to Congress.”
“Our children don’t have time to wait. Every delay, every cut in funding, every missed opportunity for research could mean the difference between life and death. We must act now because when we fight for kids with cancer, we fight for a future where no family has to hear the words ‘there’s nothing more we can do,’” said Jason Massiatte.
